HURST strengthens team with four appointments

Stockport-headquartered accounting and business advisory firm HURST has made four appointments across its business services, tax, and accounts and business advisory teams as it continues to grow.

Sam Parry has joined the business services team as senior manager, alongside Harvey Hubbard, who joins as manager.

Both bring experience from leading accountancy firms, with Sam joining from Mercer & Hole and Harvey from Kirk Rice.

The firm has also appointed Kate Oakes as corporation tax compliance manager.

A chartered tax adviser with more than 20 years of experience, she joins from KPMG, having previously trained with Deloitte.

Completing the appointments is Aamilah Mohammed, who joins the accounts and business advisory team as an associate from Pickard & Co.

Simon Brownbill, partner and head of practice development at HURST, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam, Harvey, Kate and Aamilah to the firm.

“They each bring valuable experience, technical expertise and fresh perspectives that will further strengthen our teams and enhance the service we provide to clients.

“These appointments reflect our continued investment in talented people as we grow our national client base and expand the range of services we offer.

“Attracting high-calibre professionals from leading firms is testament to the opportunities available at HURST, and supports our ambitious plans for the future as part of the Dains Group.”

The appointments support HURST’s continued expansion as it works towards its ambition of doubling in size to become a £20 million-turnover practice by 2028.

Earlier this year, the Stockport-headquartered firm became part of the Dains Group, further strengthening its national and international offering.
