Rural Solutions strengthens consultancy team

Specialist rural land practice Rural Solutions has appointed Emily Richardson as a consultant in its rural consultancy team.

Emily joins from the Country Land and Business Association (CLA), where she worked as a rural surveyor and national tourism adviser, providing guidance on planning, diversification and rural tourism policy.

She also led the organisation's work on national rural tourism, collaborating with industry stakeholders to help shape policy.

Based at Rural Solutions’ head office in Skipton, North Yorkshire, Emily will advise clients across the UK on the development and diversification of rural land and property assets.

She joins the consultancy team alongside associate directors Emily Leader, Nicky Witchell and Rich Mills.

Emily said: “This role is a natural progression for me and will enable me to utilise the experience I gained in my former position advising CLA members across the country.

“Back in 2023, I undertook a week’s work experience with the Rural Solutions team, gaining an early appreciation of the organisation’s strong team ethos and pragmatic approach to rural consultancy.

“I am delighted to now be returning to the business as a consultant."

Sally Ormiston, director at Rural Solutions, added: “Emily’s experience, working for a national organisation within the rural land sector, will be an asset to our nationwide client base at a time when strategic advice is more crucial than ever amid an evolving rural development landscape.

“Our team continues to grow as we respond to client demand for advice on the diversification of rural estates and assets.”
