NCBF re-elects president until 2027
The Northern Counties Builders Federation (NCBF) has re-elected Angela Carney as president until July 2027.
Managing director of Carney Consultancy, Angela has served as president since 2024 and brings more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry.
She is widely recognised for her work promoting careers in construction, supporting SMEs and encouraging more women into the sector.
Supported by senior vice president Chris Morris, junior vice president Matthew McCarrick and secretary Tony Kay, Angela will continue to lead the federation's work to address the construction skills shortage and improve the industry’s profile.
During her presidency, the NCBF has launched a new brand and website, expanded its Building Your Future campaign to connect employers with college students, and worked with Constructing Excellence North East on initiatives to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.
Angela said: “At a time when the Government is putting so much emphasis on the construction sector, the NCBF is involved in a range of very focussed, high-profile campaigns, that demonstrate the ambition, determination and passion member companies have to ensure it meets the region’s growth targets.”
Tony added: “Congratulations to Angela on her re-election. Under her leadership we have achieved a great deal.
“We have a packed agenda for the year ahead and we are in good shape to deliver against the targets we have set.”
