Eight-figure backing fuels law firm's growth plans
A West Yorkshire law firm is preparing to expand its national footprint after securing an eight-figure funding package to support its growth strategy.
Leeds-headquartered Switalskis has secured the funding from HSBC UK and will use the investment to accelerate its expansion across the UK through strategic acquisitions, recruitment and continued investment in the business.
The firm has already strengthened its leadership team by appointing ten new directors over the past 12 months and recently opened a new office in Grimsby as part of its growth plans.
Switalskis is now targeting a 20 per cent increase in turnover over the next year, driven by mergers and acquisitions, workforce expansion and a growing client base.
John Durkan, chief executive at Switalskis, said: “This funding has allowed us to accelerate our growth strategy and fulfil the vision that we’ve had for the business since we started the company.
“Switalskis’ mission has always been to remain committed to first-class client care, invest in our people, and ensure we continue providing the highest level of service to our clients.”
Founded in Wakefield in 1993, the firm has grown from a single office into a business employing more than 380 legal specialists across 12 locations.
The latest funding is expected to support the next phase of Switalskis’ nationwide expansion as it looks to build on more than three decades of growth and strengthen its presence in legal markets across the UK.
Mike Edwards, relationship director at HSBC UK, added: “The demand for Switalskis services has increased significantly over the last few years and it's fantastic to see the business capitalise on this with ambitious growth plans.
“We look forward to seeing this next chapter for Switalskis as the business targets further expansion throughout the UK.”
