Camera retailer aims to put SEO back in focus
A photography equipment retailer has reunited with its former digital marketing agency to boost online visibility following a challenging website migration.
Sheffield-based Harrison Cameras has reappointed The SEO Works to deliver a new SEO strategy aimed at restoring search rankings and driving traffic.
The partnership follows a successful collaboration in 2020, which was paused while the retailer prioritised a complex website migration.
However, the migration affected online visibility, prompting Harrison Cameras to resume its SEO efforts.
The campaign will focus on strengthening the retailer’s presence across key areas of its business, including second-hand camera sales, binoculars, part-exchange services and digital media transfer.
Harrison Cameras will also explore how AI can be used to improve online visibility and increase conversions as part of the new strategy.
Michael Beckingham, managing director at Harrison Cameras, said: “I’ve known the team at The SEO Works for over five years now, so when our new website was ready, they were the obvious choice to bring on as our digital partners.
“We had a great relationship with them during and since their previous SEO work for us, and we’re all very excited to see what this next chapter will bring!”
Alex Hill, sales director at The SEO Works, which also works with photography brands including Time Lapse Systems and Venture Photography, added: “It’s wonderful when a former client comes back to us, especially a business with a strong local heritage here in Sheffield.
“Michael and the team know their stuff inside out, and we’ve kept in touch over the last five years.
“They’ve had a difficult time with a long website migration, but the team is eager to get straight to work on fixing those technical gaps, and prepare the site for LLMs and putting Sheffield back on the map for the photography customer.”
