EY names new Yorkshire partner
Global professional services firm EY has strengthened its Yorkshire leadership team with the promotion of Cara Clancy to partner.
Cara joins the partnership after more than 16 years with the firm, having started her career as a graduate in EY’s Leeds office in 2009.
She has worked with a wide range of audit clients throughout her career, with particular expertise in the construction and real estate sectors, advising both listed and privately owned businesses across the region.
Having studied psychology at the University of York, Cara has lived and worked in Yorkshire since moving to the region for university.
She has also completed client and internal secondments, gaining wider business experience and supporting organisations across the North of England and London.
Cara said: “I’m very proud to have reached this exciting career milestone, and I am looking forward to supporting the continued growth of our business in Yorkshire.
“Since joining EY’s Leeds office back in 2009, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible colleagues and mentors as well as a range of fantastic businesses.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported my career journey so far, and I’m excited to see what we can continue to achieve together in the future.”
Cara’s appointment reflects EY’s continued investment in its Yorkshire operations as the firm grows its regional leadership team to meet increasing client demand.
Kate Jarman, office managing partner at EY Leeds, added: “I’m delighted to see that Cara’s achievements and dedication have been rewarded with this deserved promotion.
“She is a highly valued member of our EY team here in Yorkshire, and I have no doubt she will continue to be a success with the firm.
“She deserves huge congratulations on this brilliant milestone in her career, and I have every confidence she will continue to build on her accomplishments going forward.”
