Flint Bishop strengthens Sheffield team

National law firm Flint Bishop has strengthened its Sheffield office with the appointment of property litigation specialist James Parden as a partner.

James joins the firm’s dispute resolution team from BRM Solicitors, where he was a director, bringing more than 20 years’ experience advising businesses, developers, investors and landowners on complex commercial and residential property disputes.

His expertise spans a wide range of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, possession claims, development-related issues, rights of way, dilapidations, restrictive covenants and contentious asset management.

During his career, he has also held senior roles at Taylor Emmet, Hemingways Solicitors and Irwin Mitchell.

James said: “Flint Bishop has a clear growth strategy, a strong culture and an impressive reputation for client service.

“The firm has made significant investment in Sheffield and across its wider business, creating an exciting platform for growth.

“I am delighted to be joining the team and look forward to helping develop the real estate disputes practice further.”

James’ appointment forms part of Flint Bishop’s continued investment in its Sheffield office and wider real estate practice as the firm expands its presence across Yorkshire and the North of England.

It also strengthens the firm’s ability to provide clients with an integrated real estate offering, combining transactional expertise with specialist dispute resolution support.

Qamer Ghafoor, chief executive of Flint Bishop, added: “James is an outstanding addition to the firm.

“He brings significant technical expertise, a strong client following and an excellent reputation in the market.

“His arrival further strengthens our real estate capabilities and supports our ambition to provide clients with a seamless service across both transactional property work and complex property disputes.”
