Belmayne bids farewell to financial adviser
Dronfield-based independent financial planning firm Belmayne is bidding farewell to financial planner Cathy Smith, who is retiring after a 30-year career in the profession.
Cathy joined Belmayne in 2020 and has been consistently recognised in the VouchedFor Top Rated Financial Adviser Guide.
Before joining the firm, she worked in banking before moving into independent financial advice in 2015.
As she steps away from the profession, Cathy’s clients will transfer to fellow financial planner Melanie Shaw.
The pair have been working together to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of service.
Melanie said: “It has been really interesting to see how Cathy approaches meetings and I’ve learned a great deal from shadowing her for the past few months.
“She has remained committed to delivering positive outcomes for clients and the guidance and insights she has provided mean I can move forward with strong foundations to support their ongoing needs.”
Martin Birch, Belmayne’s managing partner, added: “Cathy has been a dedicated and active member of our team for the last six years and we’re very sorry to see her go.
“Her careful preparation has ensured a seamless transfer of clients to Mel and we are very grateful for the guidance she has provided.
“Cathy will always be a member of the Belmayne family and we wish her a long and very happy retirement.”
