Fisher German recruits strategic land specialist

National property consultancy Fisher German has appointed Matt Sladen as head of strategic land for employment.

Based in the Midlands, Matt will lead the firm’s reshaped strategic land team, identifying, securing and promoting land for commercial, industrial and employment uses across the UK.

He brings more than 15 years’ experience in the real estate sector, having previously spent his career at Sladen Estates, where he progressed to development director, before working as an independent development consultant.

During that time, he led a range of commercial and industrial development projects, including schemes in Doncaster, Peterborough and Mansfield.

Matt said: “I'm excited to be joining Fisher German at a time when demand for employment land continues to grow across the UK.

“Throughout my career I’ve worked on projects from the earliest stages of identifying opportunities through to delivering completed developments, and I enjoy bringing together the many different people involved to make those schemes a success.

“This new role is a fantastic opportunity to help clients unlock the potential of their land and navigate what can often be a complex development process.

Matt’s appointment comes as demand for specialist employment land advice continues to grow.

Fisher German said its strategic land pipeline has the potential to deliver more than 36 million sq ft of industrial and logistics development across the UK, reflecting continued investment in its employment land offering.
