Mobeus names two new partners

London-headquartered private equity firm Mobeus Equity Partners has promoted Freddie Bacon and Dominic Draysey to partner as it continues to grow and expand its investment team.

The pair, who joined the firm in 2013 and 2014, respectively, have progressed through the business to become investment leads and board members.

Freddie has led investments including Access Partnership, LACE Partners and G=mc2, while Dominic has overseen investments and exits including The Boundary, Vectair and Big Potato Games.

The firm has also promoted Kit Schutzer-Weissmann to associate director, recognising his role in leading Mobeus’ deal origination function as it prepares to deploy capital from its third institutional fund.

The promotions come as Mobeus enters its third institutional fund, with the firm continuing to invest in lower mid-market businesses across the UK.

Ashley Broomberg, managing partner, said: “Freddie and Dom joined us at the very start of their careers and have grown into accomplished investors.

“They have worked tirelessly, delivered deals, created real value for our investors and portfolio companies, and become an integral and essential part of the team.

“Beyond their track records, we see in them great guardians of the culture of Mobeus.

“Together with Kit's promotion, these appointments reflect a firm that is investing in homegrown talent and building for its future as we move into our third institutional fund.”
