Splendid Hospitality names chief people officer
Hospitality operator Splendid Hospitality Group has promoted Emma Yearwood to chief people officer and appointed her to its board.
Emma joined the business as group people director in April 2025 and brings more than 15 years’ experience in HR leadership.
In her new role, she will lead the group’s people strategy across its workforce of 2500 employees, supporting talent development, leadership capability and organisational growth.
Before joining Splendid Hospitality Group, Emma held HR leadership roles across EMEA and global organisations, where she led large-scale transformation programmes and people strategies aligned with business growth.
Emma said: “People sit at the very heart of SHG’s business, whether that’s those driving the business forward from within, the guests we serve or the partners we work with.
“By nurturing capabilities, anchoring values and harnessing the entrepreneurial spirit that runs throughout the organisation, our teams will continue to be poised to deliver on SHG’s goals and contribute to the business’ long-term success.”
Emma’s promotion comes as Splendid Hospitality Group prepares for further expansion, including plans to add 500 hotel rooms over the next three to five years, alongside growth across its restaurant, mixed-use development and care home businesses.
Nadeem Boghani, executive chairman at SHG, added: “We believe it is the talent, dedication and passion of our people that drives our success.
“Welcoming Emma to the board is a reinforcement of that belief and underlines the emphasis we place on growing the careers of our people.
“Emma’s people-first approach and experience navigating teams through rapid growth will be core to how we create opportunities, for our people and for the business as we expand our portfolio.”
