Adzuna has expanded with a deal for Germany-based Joblift

Job search engine firm expands with takeover

A job search engine firm has expanded with a takeover.

Adzuna has bought the assets of Germany-based Joblift.

Bosses say the move for the search engine operator “will substantially expand its reach, user base and employer client relationships in the country”.

Under the terms of the deal, Joblift will continue to operate as a standalone brand and company in Germany, but will be folded into London-headquartered Adzuna across the UK, US, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and France.

Doug Monro, Adzuna chief executive, said: “Joblift’s team spent years earning trust in the German market – relationships with employers, job boards, traffic partners and jobseekers – and this deal means that work continues, backed by Adzuna’s platform and scale.”

The acquisition comes after Adzuna bought US-based Getwork; Seiza, in France, and Trovit and Mitula’s job verticals across Europe in recent years.
