Cares Laboratory appoints supply chain head

Barnsley-based cleaning products manufacturer Cares Laboratory has appointed Meena Sahdev as head of supply chain.

Meena joins the business with more than 20 years’ experience across the FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical and packaging sectors.

Most recently regional supply manager at Sonoco Metal Packaging, she has also held senior leadership roles at HelloFresh and Boots/Fareva.

In her new role, Meena will lead Cares Laboratory’s end-to-end supply chain strategy, supporting the company's continued retail growth, expanding export markets and pipeline of new products.

Meena said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Cares Laboratory! 

“It’s an exciting time for the business, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen our supply chain, build great relationships with our suppliers and support the continued growth of the Vamoosh brand.”

Meena’s appointment follows Cares Laboratory’s recent expansion into the US through a launch in Target stores and forms part of the company’s continued investment in its leadership team.

The business now exports to more than 30 countries, has increased export sales by 440 per cent over the past three years and supplies more than 5000 retail outlets across the UK.
