Kier names regional construction director

Construction and infrastructure group Kier has appointed Steve Lynn as regional director for its construction business in the Northern region.

Steve, who will oversee operations across Yorkshire and the North East, succeeds Dan Doherty following his retirement.

He joined Kier as a site manager and, after more than 25 years with the business, has progressed through a series of leadership roles, most recently serving as operations director for the North East.

During his career, Steve has helped deliver major projects including Sunderland Eye Hospital and The Story in County Durham, while building strong relationships with customers, partners and supply chain businesses across the region.

In his new role, Steve will lead Kier Construction’s operations across key public and private sector markets throughout Yorkshire and the North East.

His appointment also reflects the company’s continued focus on developing talent and supporting long-term growth across the region.

Steve said: “I’m incredibly proud to be appointed regional director for Kier Construction’s Northern region. 

“Having spent most of my career with Kier, I’ve seen first-hand the expertise, commitment and ambition of our people. 

“We have a strong portfolio of work, excellent customer relationships and talented teams delivering projects that make a real difference to communities across the region.

“I’m excited to continue to work alongside colleagues across Yorkshire and the North East, supporting our customers and building on the momentum already established within the business.”
