Football arena in record non-matchday growth
A footballing and events arena has hailed its progress after scoring successive years of record non-matchday revenue.
Coventry Building Society Arena says it chalked up 8.5 per cent revenue growth across its last financial year.
Bosses say the rise was driven by 84 new events over the last 12 months, with its conference, exhibition and occasions business growing by 34 per cent over the last two years.
They add the West Midlands-based site hosted 488 events between May 2025 and April 2026, with its repeat business rate standing at 68 per cent.
The figures come as the venue – which doubles as home to football side Coventry City – prepares to host Premier League action in the coming weeks.
Paul Michael, Coventry Building Society Arena managing director, said: “To deliver record non-matchday conference and events revenue for the second year running is a major achievement.
“These annual figures reflect the strength of our team, the flexibility of the venue and the confidence organisers continue to show in hosting events with us.
“Our location in the centre of the country remains a major advantage, but we have also continued to invest in the venue.
“There is major investment being made to support the requirements of Premier League football, and that is supporting us to deliver elite-level events and the best possible experiences for conferences, exhibitions, meetings and events.”
