Agency marks anniversary with B Corp milestone
A marketing agency has marked its 20th anniversary by achieving B Corp certification for the first time.
Nottingham-headquartered Cartwright, which also has offices in London and Birmingham, has achieved the global accreditation recognising high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
The milestone coincides with the launch of the agency’s first Impact Report, which measures its environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
During the 2025/26 financial year, Cartwright calculated its social value contribution at more than £240,000 across 77 measured activities.
These included supporting 420 students through work experience, guest lectures, workshops and other engagement programmes.
The agency has also invested in reducing its environmental impact through initiatives including the installation of solar panels and improvements to its governance and workplace policies.
Kali Dennett, associate director and ESG lead at Cartwright, said: “People are at the heart of what we do.
“We care about the impact we have on the wellbeing and success of our people, our communities and the environment, and we’re committed to creating a positive legacy where we work.
“B Corp certification is a huge recognition of the great work done by the team so far, and we’re excited for the opportunity to leverage it as we continue our commitment to being a responsible employer and business.
“Having grown significantly in the last five years into a multi-location, digitally-led business, the B Corp framework ensures we can maintain high standards while remaining true to our roots.”
Founded by Liz Cartwright in 2006, the 40-strong business provides PR, content, digital marketing, social media and stakeholder communications services to clients including ZEISS, Pagabo, Woolroom and SLR Consulting.
The certification marks another milestone in the agency’s growth, following its recent role as official storytelling partner for UKREiiF and its recognition as Agency of the Year at the Construction Marketing Awards.
Rose Hayes, joint managing director at Cartwright, added: “Reaching our 20th anniversary as a certified B Corp is a proud moment for Cartwright and reflects the kind of business we have worked hard to build.
“This independent certification gives real weight to our commitment to our people, our communities and the environment, while recognising the contribution made by colleagues across the agency.
“For us, this goes beyond numbers and tick boxes – it’s about meaningful support of people in our communities by helping them access the working world in an increasingly difficult market.
“Our first Impact Report gives us a clear benchmark against which we can measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable.
“As Cartwright continues to grow, we want to prove that commercial success and positive impact can go hand in hand, creating lasting value for our clients, our team and the communities around us.”
