BRM appoints real estate director

Yorkshire and Derbyshire law firm BRM has appointed Anthony Ogley as director of residential and commercial development.

Anthony joins from Knights, where he was a partner, bringing more than 20 years’ experience advising on residential and commercial real estate matters.

His expertise spans development agreements, funding, site acquisitions and disposals, as well as landlord and tenant, investment and secured lending work.

In his new role, Anthony will lead BRM’s residential development team, supporting clients across a broad range of real estate and development projects.

Anthony said: “The decision to join BRM was an easy one: BRM is a leading regional law firm with a collaborative team ethic and culture, genuine growth ambitions and an enviable client base.

“BRM’s focus on generating long-term client relationships, its commitment to delivering commercially focused legal advice, and its investment in talented staff very much align with how I personally like to practice law.

“Coupled with the opportunity to help shape the future direction and expansion of the Sheffield office, this makes joining BRM particularly attractive.”

Anthony’s appointment reflects BRM's continued investment in its real estate practice, strengthening the firm’s expertise in residential and commercial development across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and beyond.

Adrian Sheehan, executive director at BRM, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Anthony to BRM.

“He brings a wealth of experience in residential and commercial development.

“Anthony’s appointment significantly strengthens our residential development offering and our real estate team as a whole, cementing our position as one of the largest teams in the region and ensuring our clients continue to receive the highest level of legal advice and support.

“We look forward to working with Anthony, who we see as a natural fit for the culture of the firm.”
