Property firm eyes growth with South Coast base

A property management specialist is targeting further growth after investing more than £250,000 in its first South Coast office.

Birmingham-headquartered Principle Estate Management has opened a base at Parkway in Fareham, from where it will support clients stretching from Saltdean, near Brighton, to Seaton on the Devon coast.

The company, which manages more than 26,000 units across the UK, has recruited Kevin Daniells as director for the South to lead the expansion.

Kevin will be responsible for building a portfolio of developments and establishing a dedicated regional team, with Principle aiming to have five people based in Fareham within the next 12 months.

He brings national and international estate agency experience and previously worked at Daniells Harrison Chartered Surveyors, where he quadrupled turnover in its property management division before the business was acquired by BTG Eddisons.

Kevin said: “This is an exciting opportunity with a company keen to take its hugely successful blueprint into the South Coast – an area that is awash with regeneration schemes and residential developments that will need managing properly.

“Fareham is the ideal base for our Southern office and a location I know well.

“It’s ideally placed with good transport connections and the railway station is just a mile away.

“We also have easy access to Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester.”

He added: “I wanted to be part of what I consider a family firm, where everybody is looking out for everybody else and there is a real personal level of service for residents and clients alike.

“Having spent lots of time bouncing ideas around with the management, I knew it felt like the right fit.”

Employing 115 people, Principle provides block, estate and lettings management services to developers, housebuilders, freeholders, resident management companies and landlords.

Founded in 2018, the company has grown annual revenue to more than £9 million and manages over 26,000 units nationally.

The Fareham investment follows the recent opening of a North West office in Manchester as Principle continues to expand its regional footprint.

Joe Jobson, co-founder of Principle Estate Management, added: “We’ve been asked to manage several residential and commercial schemes on the South Coast recently and felt the time was right to put foundations down in the region and look at increasing our market share down there.

“It’s such an exciting area with lots of investment flowing into exciting regeneration schemes, which, in turn, is driving a genuine need for property management expertise.

“That’s where we feel we have something to offer and Kevin Daniells’ appointment highlights how seriously we are taking this move.”
