Waste tech firm set to double in size

A Lancashire-based technology and waste specialist firm is preparing to double in size as it targets its fifth consecutive year of 100 per cent growth.

Envirovue is expanding its presence at Hardmans Business Centre in Rawtenstall to accommodate its growing workforce and support its next phase of development.

The Rossendale-headquartered business has recruited 13 employees during the past year and expects to double in size over the next 12 months.

Envirovue combines specialist software with compliance expertise to help organisations improve waste management processes, environmental performance and costs.

Emma Cooke, operations manager at Envirovue, said: “Our growth reflects a real shift in how organisations are approaching waste management, as it starts to be viewed as a significant part of ESG performance.

“That shift means the need for tangible alternatives to manual, reactive processes has never been greater.

“At Envirovue, we're proud to offer technology-enabled ways for businesses to better understand, track and manage their waste streams.

“As this trend continues and regulatory pressures build, we're investing in our people, technology and operations to make sure we're ready for the next stage of growth.”

The expansion comes as the company records its highest employee satisfaction score to date, reaching 98 per cent.

Its latest staff survey found all employees were proud to work for Envirovue, while 96 per cent said they enjoyed coming to work.

Every employee surveyed also said they could see themselves developing their career with the business over the next two years and would recommend Envirovue as a place to work.

Alex Trenbath, director at Envirovue, added: “The growth we’ve experienced over the last year reflects the increasing demand for smarter, technology-led approaches to waste management.

“Businesses are under growing pressure to improve visibility, strengthen compliance and reduce environmental impact and we’ve invested heavily in developing solutions that help them achieve that.

“As we continue to scale, our focus remains on combining innovation with expertise, growing the team, investing in our technology and building long-term partnerships with organisations looking to improve sustainability and operational efficiency.”
