Cardo grows compliance offering with CCS deal
A building maintenance firm has bolstered its energy and compliance capabilities through the acquisition of a specialist contractor supporting more than 50,000 homes.
Cardo Group has bought Andover-based Correct Contract Services (CCS), expanding its presence across South and Central England.
CCS provides electrical, heating and retrofit services to local authorities and social housing landlords, helping improve the safety and energy efficiency of properties.
Founded in 2007 by former gas engineers Danny Gladwyn and the late Trevor Dempsey, the business has grown from providing boiler installations and servicing into an operation employing more than 280 people.
Its services now range from electrical maintenance to large-scale retrofit projects.
The deal – which follows Cardo’s recent acquisition of R. Lewis & Co – forms part of its long-term growth strategy, further strengthening its integrated service offering and expanding its national reach through CCS’s established local expertise.
Danny said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for CCS and a milestone that Trevor and I were incredibly proud to have worked towards together.
“More importantly, it reflects the hard work, commitment and contribution of the entire CCS team, who have played such an important role in building the business into what it is today.
“Trevor’s vision and commitment to CCS have been a significant part of our journey.
“His legacy will live on through the values and strong foundations he helped build, and we will continue to carry that forward.
“This partnership gives CCS even greater scope to grow sustainably and strengthen the services we provide.
“Our clients and partners will continue to benefit from the same trusted people and quality of service, supported by the additional investment, capability and expertise of the wider Cardo Group.”
Liam Bevan, chief executive of Cardiff-headquartered Cardo Group, added: “CCS has built an excellent reputation for technical expertise, strong customer relationships and commitment to quality.
“We’re delighted to welcome the entire CCS team into the Cardo Group.
“Though this acquisition comes after his passing, the values and standards Trevor helped establish are exactly what made CCS the right fit for Cardo.
“It's an important milestone as we expand our footprint across the south of England and continue to deliver safer and more energy-efficient homes for communities.”
