Partners progress 158-home 'flagship scheme'

A £40 million affordable housing development is set to bring more than 150 new homes to Rochdale.

MCI Developments, a subsidiary of housebuilder Keepmoat, is partnering with L&G Affordable Homes to deliver 158 properties at Trub Farm in Castleton.

The scheme, which secured full planning permission from Rochdale Council last month, will feature one and two-bedroom apartments alongside two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Homes will be made available through social rent and shared ownership, contributing towards Greater Manchester’s ambition to deliver 10,000 new social homes by 2032.

The development will also include a cycle and pedestrian route connecting the new neighbourhood with the nearby Rochdale Canal towpath.
