Automotive intelligence firm seals acquisition
An automotive market intelligence business has expanded with the acquisition of a specialist provider of aftermarket industry insights.
Manchester-based Eyeballs to Datapoints Ltd, the company behind Automotive Insights, has bought the business and key assets of Factor Sales.
The deal brings together Automotive Insights’ market intelligence capabilities with Factor Sales, which provides data and insight covering the UK automotive aftermarket.
Eyeballs to Datapoints is supported by an advisory board featuring former Ford UK managing director Andy Barratt, futurist Tom Cheesewright and Regit chief executive Chris Ashton-Green.
Andy said: “As I have said before, data is the new horsepower.
“The strategic acquisition of Factor Sales demonstrates how Eyeballs to Datapoints can provide the most comprehensive and dynamic view of both what consumers are thinking and doing, and how the aftermarket is responding.”
Isaac Shalaan, co-founder and technical director of Factor Sales, added: “We are delighted to be joining such a highly regarded insights specialist, one that is eager to invest, innovate and enhance our proposition.
“Their approach is both ambitious and measured, and I believe it can help firmly establish Factor Sales as the mission-critical partner for any company operating within the aftermarket.”
The acquisition follows further investment in the company’s leadership team earlier this year.
Former Auto Trader research and data director Richard Walker joined the business as executive director of research, data and insights, strengthening its expertise as it looks to expand its automotive intelligence offering.
Nick Richardson, executive director of Automotive Insights & Research Services, added: “We are delighted to have acquired the business and key assets of Factor Sales and to welcome Isaac and Seb to our expanding team.
“As a business we have made clear progress since our launch and have delighted clients and partners with our innovative approach.
“We are now excited to extend that impact into the aftermarket through the strategic acquisition of Factor Sales, a business that should aspire to be the mission-critical partner for any company that is serious about the aftermarket industry.”
