Knights helps engineer trio of Qflow deals

A Swedish engineering consultancy group has entered the UK market with three acquisitions as it looks to build a leading European specialist consultancy.

Qflow, which comprises 40 businesses and more than 1300 consultants across Sweden, Norway and Denmark, has bought Caneparo Associates, EAS Transport Planning and Blueprint Project Solutions Ltd.

Law firm Knights advised Qflow on the three deals, which establish the group’s presence in Britain and provide a platform for further growth.

London-headquartered Caneparo Associates specialises in transport planning and highway design, supporting complex urban developments from early feasibility studies through to planning and delivery.

Meanwhile, Hertfordshire-based EAS Transport Planning works with public and private sector clients across transport planning, highway design and sustainable infrastructure.

And Blueprint Project Solutions, founded in 2011 and based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, provides project controls, programme management and risk advisory services across infrastructure, energy, nuclear and defence.

Qflow says the acquisitions will strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing between its UK and Nordic operations as it continues its European expansion.

A multidisciplinary Knights team advised on the transactions across corporate, commercial, real estate, employment and construction matters.

The team was led by corporate partner Gareth Burge, supported by specialists including Joe Rollins, Ellie Bryan, Steve Brunt, Aaran Kandola, Rob Pettigrew, Laura Clark, Tessa Rogerson, Deborah Ritchie and Jade Thompson.
