ARC builds on ‘strong foundations’ with new site

A building products manufacturer is expanding its Leeds operations with an additional 20,000sq ft facility in response to growing demand.

ARC Building Solutions, which manufactures passive fire protection and thermal products for the built environment, is taking on premises opposite its existing Leeds site.

The additional building will provide increased production, office and storage space, giving ARC greater capacity to hold stock and fulfil customer orders.

It is also expected to improve operational flow across the business while providing room for further investment as the company grows.

Future plans could include efficiency improvements and increased automation within its operations.

Andy Yates, chief operations officer of ARC Building Solutions, said: “This additional space marks an important step in ARC’s growth journey.

“It allows us to build on the strong foundations we already have in place, improving how we operate day-to-day, while giving us greater flexibility to support our customers as demand continues to grow.

“It also puts us in a strong position to keep investing in our operations in the years ahead.”

The expansion follows investment in ARC by LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group, in 2025.

The backing is supporting the manufacturer’s long-term growth strategy, including investment in operational infrastructure, systems and commercial capabilities.

ARC will begin moving into the new premises over the coming months, with the facility operating alongside its existing Leeds base.

The company expects the additional site to be fully operational by summer.

Andy added: “The market continues to demand high levels of responsiveness and flexibility from suppliers.

“This investment ensures we are well placed to meet those expectations, both now and as we continue to grow.”
