John N Dunn appoints quantity surveyor
North Shields-headquartered mechanical and electrical services specialist John N Dunn Group has appointed Andrew Wheelhouse as quantity surveyor at its Yorkshire office.
Andrew, from Kippax near Leeds, brings 25 years of industry experience to the role, having worked for a range of housebuilders and main contractors.
He joins John N Dunn from Snowden Seamless Floors, where he was also a quantity surveyor, and will strengthen the commercial division at the company’s Beeston office in Leeds.
Andrew said: “John N Dunn Group appealed to me as it is a family orientated business.
“The team is customer focussed and committed and having spent much of my career working with main contractors and house builders, I bring insight and experience which will assist us moving forward.
“I work very closely with our commercial director, Wayne Sabin and managing director, James Harris, to manage all financial and contractual aspects of our projects.”
Founded more than a century ago, John N Dunn delivers mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance services across large-scale construction schemes and reactive maintenance projects.
The company works with major UK housing developers, housing associations and commercial contractors and operates across the North East, Yorkshire and Scotland.
It has completed more than 7000 contracts, with Andrew’s appointment adding further commercial experience to its growing Yorkshire operation.
James Harris, managing director at John N Dunn Group in Yorkshire, added: “Andrew is a great addition to the team, he brings strong knowledge and is keen to progress his career with us.
“We have an impressive track record across the group, of developing and retaining our people.
“Andrew’s appointment is a mutually beneficially fit and I look forward to seeing him help drive the commercial division forward.”
