Pantera hires plant and machinery director
Harrogate-based property and business assets valuation specialist Pantera Advisory Group has appointed chartered surveyor Tom Witten as director of plant and machinery.
Tom joins from global restructuring and investment business Gordon Brothers, where he was a manager within its London commercial and industrial team.
He brings more than seven years’ experience in asset valuation, specialising in plant and machinery across a range of sectors.
Tom’s expertise includes valuations for business restructuring and insolvency, asset disposals and corporate and asset-based lending.
Prior to joining Gordon Brothers in 2021, he was a business asset valuer at John Pye.
Based primarily at Pantera’s London office, Tom will work alongside managing director Kevin Counihan and the wider asset valuation team, providing valuation and disposal advice across plant, machinery and other business assets.
Tom said: “Pantera has built a strong reputation in the valuation and advisory market and I’m excited to be joining the business at such an important stage of its growth.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to further develop its plant and machinery valuation and disposal services and to build on the opportunities ahead across the UK and internationally.”
Tom’s appointment comes as Pantera continues to expand its valuation and advisory services.
Founded in 2016, the business has grown to 26 employees, including ten surveyors, across offices in Harrogate, London and Manchester, providing property, business and asset advice to clients in the UK and overseas.
Tom Snook, founder and chief executive of Pantera Advisory Group, added: “We are really pleased to welcome Tom to the Pantera team.
“His experience in plant and machinery valuation, particularly across restructuring, insolvency and lending, adds further depth to our asset valuation offering.
“Tom’s appointment reflects the continued growth of our valuation services and our wider ambition to build a national valuation and advisory business.”
