Inflatable park bounces into Grimsby

A new leisure attraction is bouncing into Grimsby as regeneration continues to reshape the heart of the town.

Innoflate is set to open a new inflatable park at Riverhead, taking over units previously occupied by a gym and children’s play area.

The venture will bring the vacant space back into use alongside wider investment aimed at revitalising Grimsby town centre.

It comes as work progresses on the Freshney Place Leisure Scheme, which is transforming the area with new leisure and entertainment facilities.

Plans include a five-screen cinema operated by local business Parkway, alongside a new market and further leisure provision.

Manager Ben Leeming said: “I’m a local boy myself so to be able to open something like this in my home town is just brilliant.

“The whole project is huge and it ties into the rest of the regeneration going on around the town. 

“Everything is going up and we want to make sure no part is left out or forgotten.

“The owners, the team and I are so excited to get people through the door and it’s certainly going to be a positive addition to Grimsby town centre.”

The development forms part of efforts to breathe new life into the centre of Grimsby and create a stronger mix of attractions for residents and visitors.

Ben added: “People need to see the bigger picture. 

“There is so much opportunity here – great things are coming.

“Whether that’s us, the cinema or something completely different, businesses are doing great around here and it’s quickly turning into the place to be. 

“We know that our business will be a benefit for the town and the residents of North East Lincolnshire. 

“Times are changing and town centres are no longer what they used to be – they’re becoming places where you can do all sorts, not just shopping.”
