Communications firm in 'milestone' office move

A communications firm has unveiled a “major milestone” office expansion.

McBryde & Co has opened a base at Port of Middlesbrough.

The company says the investment marks “the icing on the cake” following a string of business wins.

It adds the new hub – set in Dinsdale House on family-run client AV Dawson’s sprawling Teesside distribution base – will support further growth in an area where the Newcastle-headquartered business supports companies including Middlesbrough College Group and legal operator Ward Hadaway.

Founder and director Rachel McBryde said: “We’ve had a fantastic year, and our expansion into Teesside reflects a major milestone in our three-year growth strategy.

“We’ve always worked within the renewable energy space, but these past 12 months have seen that side of our client portfolio significantly increase, working with global firms with a footprint in the North East.

“We’ve also won three clients in the education sector, and opening in Teesside felt like a natural evolution.

“Teesside is a fantastic place to do business.

“Some of our team grew up here, so being able to invest in the region and bring them back to work in the area, while building new relationships with amazing local businesses, is something of which we’re really proud.”

Charlie Nettle, group managing director at AV Dawson – which earlier this year unveiled a £5 million rail expansion – added: “McBryde & Co is invested in the area and specifically to the Port of Middlesbrough.

“We look forward to seeing what this next growth phase brings for the company.”
