Land firm secures backing for 550-home ventures

A land promotion firm has secured approval for a trio of schemes earmarked to deliver more than 550 homes.

Hallam Land has won planning permission for estates in Gloucestershire, Lancashire and Leicestershire.

Bosses say the developments will include affordable housing and “help meet local need while delivering a range of wider community and infrastructure benefits”.

The schemes were approved following appeals to the Planning Inspectorate.

The estates include a 300-home endeavour in Langho, near Blackburn, which is earmarked to feature 90 affordable properties and 45 homes designed for older residents.

They also cover a 200-home scheme at Blaby Golf Centre, on the outskirts of Leicester, which is slated to contain 25 per cent affordable housing, and a 54-home venture on the edge of Lechlade, in Gloucestershire, which Hallam Land says will include 40 per cent affordable housing.
