TV Edwards appoints department heads

London law firm TV Edwards has made three senior appointments across its family and private client teams amid growing demand for its services.

Partner Sarah Inchley has been promoted to head of family law after three years with the firm, while Caroline Andrews joins from Tees Law as head of family finance.

Sarah said: “It’s a real privilege to lead a team that helps people through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

“Every day, we see the life-changing difference that expert, compassionate legal advice can make for families.

“We work across three specialist teams – including public law children, family finance, and complex and international children law – all within one award-winning family department.

“This joined-up approach means we can provide outstanding support on every aspect of family law.

“I’m excited to build on the department’s strong foundations by developing our people, growing our specialist services and ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality advice and representation in an evolving area of law.

“We’re committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients and making sure they receive the support and representation they deserve when it matters most.”

Cheryl Thompson has also joined from Carter Lemon Camerons as head of private client, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising on wills, estate planning and administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.

Cheryl added: “Our clients often come to us at some of the most important moments in their lives, whether planning for the future, protecting their assets or supporting loved ones.

“I’m delighted to be taking on the role of head of private client.

“My focus will be on strengthening the department’s specialist expertise and ensuring we continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients.

“I look forward to working with the team to build on the department's existing strengths and develop its specialist offering.”

Caroline brings almost two decades of family law experience and specialises in divorce and matrimonial finances, civil partnership dissolutions, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation matters and complex financial arrangements.

She will oversee the continued development of TV Edwards’ dedicated family finance team, working alongside its wider family practice.

Caroline added: “Our family finance team provides clients with specialist support at every stage of a separation or divorce and across all aspects of family law.

“Financial arrangements can often be one of the most complex aspects especially during relationship breakdowns.

“By bringing family finance together with the firm’s wider strengths in family and child law, we can provide a more joined-up service and clear, practical advice that reflects each client's individual circumstances, including high-net-worth cases.”

The appointments come as the firm continues to invest in its specialist services, with family instructions increasing 34 per cent during the first three months of 2026 compared with the same period last year.

Founded in 1929, TV Edwards operates from offices in Whitechapel and Clapham Junction.

Julian Overton, managing partner at TV Edwards, added: “The development of our family finance and private client teams is of huge strategic significance for TV Edwards.

“Growing these departments provides us with opportunities to reach new clients and expand our service offering, whilst building upon the high-quality work that has established the firm's reputation.

“I’m delighted that we have been able to attract such talented individuals in Caroline and Cheryl, who share the firm’s values and vision for growth.

“I’m equally pleased to see Sarah appointed as our new head of family law.

“She has already made a significant contribution to the firm, and her leadership, expertise and commitment to our clients will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen the department.

“Together, Caroline, Cheryl and Sarah bring a wealth of practical experience, expertise and ambition, and I have every confidence they will play a key role in the firm’s continued success.

“I wish them all the best in their new roles.”
