Dampsafe appoints executive chair

Dorset-based specialist damp and mould contractor Dampsafe has appointed Andrew Loveless as executive chair to support its next stage of growth.

Andrew will work alongside managing director Angela Taylor and the wider leadership team, with a focus on governance, strategy, commercial development and partnerships.

He previously served as a senior civil servant and executive board member at Ordnance Survey, alongside holding senior roles at Accenture, Honeywell-Bull and GE Capital.

Andrew also brings experience of building, investing in and scaling technology and service businesses.

In his new role, he will provide strategic support as Dampsafe develops its operations and builds relationships across social housing and the wider property sector.

Andrew said: “I have been hugely impressed by what Angela and the team have built. 

“Dampsafe combines practical delivery with a real understanding of the people living in the homes it serves. 

“I look forward to helping the business strengthen its foundations, develop new partnerships and scale responsibly.”

Dampsafe works with social landlords and principal contractors to investigate and address damp and mould in occupied homes, with its approach incorporating photographic reporting and escalation where treatment alone cannot resolve underlying issues.

Andrew’s arrival follows growing recognition for Dampsafe, including its appointment to the South East Consortium Repairs and Maintenance Dynamic Market and success at the 2026 SNG Supplier Social Value Awards.

Angela added: “Andrew brings board-level experience, public sector understanding and commercial discipline, but just as importantly he shares our belief that this work is about people, not just properties. 

“His appointment gives Dampsafe additional strength as we grow, without losing the practical and resident-focused values that make us different.”
