Housebuilder scores community partnership
A housebuilder has kicked off a new community partnership with a grassroots football club near its £42 million Leicestershire development.
Lovell has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with Heather St John’s Football Club in Coalville, investing £2400 in the club.
The housebuilder will become main stand sponsor at St John’s Park on Ravenstone Road in Heather.
Simon Brindley, Heather St John’s chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lovell as a sponsor of Heather St John’s FC.
“This investment will provide valuable support for the club and help us continue creating a welcoming environment for our players, supporters and the wider community.
“Partnerships with businesses investing in the local area are extremely important to clubs like ours, and we look forward to building a successful relationship with Lovell.”
The partnership comes as Lovell builds 146 homes at its Swinfen Vale development in Ellistown, which forms part of the wider South East Coalville masterplan led by Harworth Group.
The first Swinfen Vale homes went on sale in July, with residents expected to move in this autumn.
Work on the development is scheduled to be completed by summer 2030.
Dawn Bennett, regional sales director of Lovell Homes, added: “We are proud to support Heather St John’s FC and become the club’s main stand sponsor.
“As we create new homes at Swinfen Vale, it is important to us that we also contribute to the wider Coalville community.
“Heather St John’s FC plays an important role in bringing together players, supporters and families through football and we hope our investment will make a positive contribution.”
