Bowker Sadler welcomes back director

Stockport-based architectural practice Bowker Sadler has welcomed Alison Duxbury back as director, almost a decade after she first joined the business.

Alison brings more than 25 years’ experience and returns following seven years as a director at Triangle Architects, where she oversaw housing, education, healthcare, regeneration and masterplanning projects.

Her experience includes the UK’s first purpose-built, majority LGBTQ+ extra care housing scheme for Great Places Housing Group and the Hattersley Central regeneration project in Tameside.

In her new role, she will work alongside directors Paul Jeffrey, Colin Leith and Dan Labella and founding partner Alan Sadler, supporting project delivery, strengthening client relationships and exploring new growth opportunities.

Alison said: “It’s great to be back at Bowker Sadler at such an exciting time. 

“There’s a real sense of momentum across the practice, with a fantastic team, a diverse range of projects and some great opportunities ahead.

“Having spent the last seven years broadening my experience across a range of sectors and projects, I’m looking forward to bringing that knowledge back to a practice I know well. 

“It feels like a real full-circle moment, and I’m excited to be part of the studio’s next chapter.”

Alison’s return comes as Bowker Sadler progresses a growing portfolio across the North West and beyond, spanning residential, education, regeneration and commercial developments.

Current projects include 192 affordable homes at Droylsden Marina, 83 homes at Coalbrook Court in East Manchester and the Houghton Green Estate regeneration project in Tameside, alongside new school and commercial schemes.
