Builder seals land move for 122-home development

A housebuilder is set to break ground on a 122-home estate after completing a land deal.

Wain Homes has bought a 13.7-acre West Lancashire site.

Bosses say the parcel, in Aughton, near Ormskirk, will feature one to five-bed homes, with around a third slated to be affordable properties.

They add construction on the development – known as Heartwood Manor – is expected to start later this year.

Richard Chamberlain, regional managing director at Warrington-headquartered Wain Homes, said: “Aughton is a fantastic location and one where we expect demand to be strong.

“We're looking forward to starting work on site and delivering a development that will make a positive contribution to the local area.”
