Park operator expands with four-site agreement
A residential parks operator has expanded its national footprint with the purchase of four sites comprising more than 1500 homes.
Serenity Parks has completed its largest deal to date, adding communities in Essex, Lincolnshire, West Sussex and Nottinghamshire to its growing UK portfolio.
The expansion includes Kings Park Village on Canvey Island, described as the country’s largest park-home community, alongside The Elms in Torksey, Willowbrook in Lancing and Sandy Oaks in Bestwood.
All existing employees will remain in their roles across the four sites, providing continuity for residents.
Gary Burns, founder of Serenity Parks, said: “These four sites are a great fit for Serenity.
“They are well-established, have strong resident communities and share the culture and approach that we are building across the business.
“Just as important are the teams who have made these places what they are.
“They know the sites, know the residents and have a proven track record of running them well.
“We’re pleased they will remain in place as part of the next chapter.”
He added: “This acquisition is a significant step forward for Serenity and gives us the scale and platform to keep building on the success of the business, while raising the bar for what people can expect from the residential parks sector.”
The move comes alongside the appointment of Rob Turner as chief operating officer.
He brings more than 29 years’ experience across the leisure, hospitality and residential parks sectors, as well as existing knowledge of the newly acquired sites.
Rob added: “I’ve worked closely with these sites and the teams for a number of years, so I know what makes them work well and what matters to the people who live here.
“I’m really pleased to be taking on this role and to be able to bring that knowledge into Serenity, while playing my part in the continued growth of the business on the national stage.”
The deal follows Serenity Parks’ acquisition of three residential park-home communities in Dorset and Hampshire last month, with the company continuing to explore further opportunities to expand across the UK.
