HAHN Plastics appoints development manager
Greater Manchester-based recycled plastics manufacturer HAHN Plastics UK (HPUK) has appointed William Paterson as business development manager for Scotland and the North East as it targets further commercial growth.
William brings more than 20 years’ experience in construction materials sales, working across markets including construction, oil and gas and energy.
He has also supported customers in specialist sectors including data centres, food and beverage and pharmaceuticals.
In his new role, William will focus on growing HAHN Plastics’ presence across Scotland and the North East, developing relationships with existing and prospective customers and identifying opportunities for its recycled plastic products.
He said: “It’s great to be joining at what is clearly an exciting time for HAHN Plastics, and I’m looking forward to working for a business that puts sustainability and innovation at its core.
“There is a huge opportunity for the business to grow in Scotland and the North East, and I’m excited to get out into the market, build new relationships and help more organisations understand what recycled plastics can offer.
“It's a business with ambitious plans for the future, and I'm looking forward to playing my part in its growth.”
William’s appointment follows continued investment in the company’s people and UK operations, including a multi-million-pound programme to develop its Greater Manchester manufacturing site.
Founded in 1993, HAHN Plastics transforms post-consumer plastic waste into durable products designed as alternatives to materials including virgin plastic, wood, concrete and steel.
Max Cardona, general manager at HPUK, added: “We’re delighted to welcome William to HPUK at a time when we’re continuing to invest significantly in our operations and people.
“He brings more than two decades of experience in many of the markets we operate in, and I know his knowledge and understanding of those sectors will be a real asset as we continue to develop commercial relationships across Scotland and the North East.
“We see significant opportunities to grow our presence across both regions, and William will play an important role in building new relationships, strengthening existing ones and helping us introduce HAHN Plastics to new customers and markets.”
