Blu Sky aiming for new heights in Nuvo move
An accountancy firm says it is “excited about what comes next” after joining a national organisation.
Blu Sky has become part of Nuvo Group.
Bosses say its move into the business services group’s stable will help “build on what already makes the company successful” by “adding expertise and bringing in the right people when clients need them”.
Under the terms of the deal, the North Shields-headquartered firm will trade as Blu Sky, part of the Nuvo Group, with founder Jon Dudgeon and chief finance officer and chief growth officer Steve Robinson continuing to lead the practice.
It has also retained its offices in Newcastle and London.
Jon said: “We’ve always been about doing right by the businesses we work with and building relationships for the long term – and joining the Nuvo Group allows us to build on that.
“Our clients will continue to work with the people they know and trust, but we’ll have even more specialist expertise around us when they need it.
“It means we can keep doing what we do best while giving our clients access to additional support as their businesses grow and evolve.
“We’re really excited about what comes next.”
Steve Sharp, founder and chief executive at Derbyshire-based Nuvo Group, said: “Jon and the team have built a fantastic business.
“Blu Sky combines ambition with a genuinely people-focused approach – it puts real thought into how it grows, how it supports clients and its team, and the kind of business it wants to be.
“We want to build on what already makes Blu Sky successful.”
Blu Sky was supported on the move by Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors, with corporate team associate solicitor Daniel Bell leading the deal.
He said: “Having worked with Jon, Steven and their team for several years, we are delighted to have supported them on this significant next step for Blu Sky.”
