Rail operator backs Eagles to fly in new agreement
A rail operator is celebrating after scoring a sporting sponsorship extension.
Lumo has been named Newcastle Eagles women’s team main sponsor.
The rolling stock firm’s logo will adorn the front of the side’s kit during the 2026/2027 Super League Basketball season.
The deal builds on previous back of jersey and shooting shirt agreements, and will also see Lumo’s name appear on a special edition gold third kit set to be worn by the Eagles’ men’s and women’s teams as the club celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Khalid Amin, head of marketing at Newcastle-based Lumo, said: “Our regional sports teams are at the very heart of the community – just like us.
“We’re proud to be partnering with the Newcastle Eagles again this year.”
Paul Blake, Newcastle Eagles managing director, added: “Lumo’s support of the club, and our women’s franchise in particular, has been a huge boost.
“Having such a high-profile national partner that shares our values has helped strengthen the programme on and off the court.
“We’re delighted to see Lumo increase that commitment by moving to the front of the jersey for what promises to be a memorable season.”
