SolutionsHub appoints regulatory assurance chief

Isle of Man-based regulatory consultancy SolutionsHub has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Tommy Corlett as head of regulatory assurance and remediation.

Tommy joins after nine years with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, where he gained extensive experience overseeing regulatory compliance within the gambling sector.

He began his career with the commission as a gaming inspector before moving into anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) inspections in November 2023 as a senior inspector.

His responsibilities included assessing operators’ compliance arrangements, identifying weaknesses in internal controls and determining whether businesses were meeting their regulatory obligations.

In his new role, Tommy will support SolutionsHub clients seeking to enter regulated markets, alongside established online gambling operators managing ongoing compliance requirements.

He will also advise businesses on licensing applications, regulatory assurance and remediation, helping them identify potential shortcomings before regulatory scrutiny.

Tommy said: “After nine years at the GSC, I am ready to use my experience in a different way and help businesses understand what regulators are actually looking for when they test something in practice.

“What appealed to me about SolutionsHub was the focus on evidence and on sorting problems properly when something needs fixing. 

“I’m really looking forward to working with Lee and the team and getting stuck into the work with operators.”

Tommy’s appointment brings further regulatory experience to SolutionsHub as it supports operators navigating licensing processes and maintaining compliance standards.
