Two companies 'keep it local' for North East produce
A new campaign to promote locally produced food and drink has been created by two North East companies. Dialogue Event Solutions from Hartlepool and Urban River Creative of South Shields have been working together to formulate and promote the ‘Buy local - let’s make a difference’ message to consumers and businesses throughout the region.
The new campaign aims to celebrate the vast array of high quality produce available to householders and catering businesses alike in the lead up to the North East Food and Drink Show 2007 in September.
Jill Newey, development director at Urban River Creative, said: “We knew Dialogue wanted something eye-catching and creative to build the show’s branding around this year and in years to come so we used our experience in the sector to devise the ideas for the brand. The North East has such a proud heritage so celebrating the region’s excellence in sourcing and creating stunning food and drink items seemed the natural way forward.”
Tracy Skinner of Dialogue Event Solutions said: “As a celebration of all the amazing locally-produced food and drink items in our region, the North East Food and Drink Show 2007 will help local producers to promote their goods to both individuals and business people alike – the ideal opportunity to encourage businesses to support local produce and achieve outstanding quality in the food and drinks they serve to the public at the same time.”
The North East Food and Drink Show 2007 takes place at the Rainton Meadows Arena in Sunderland on 14-15 September. For more information or to view the new show branding, visit www.nefoodanddrinkshow.com.
