Businesses invited to find out about £38m investment
Ambitious businesses are invited to attend a breakfast seminar being held at Sunderland City Council’s e-volve Business Centre to find out about the financial support that is available to help them grow. The event is being run jointly by enterprise development company NStar and Sunderland City Council’s Business Investment Team on Thursday 12 July, beginning at 8am at the new e-volve centre on Rainton Bridge South Business Park.
NStar is working to stimulate the North East economy and has £38 million of venture capital under management to support ambitious and innovative companies across the region. A new Design & Creative Fund has also been launched to support the development of the region’s design and creative industries through financial investment. The fund stands alongside a range of support services, offering businesses and entrepreneurs access to expert guidance as their companies expand and develop.
The seminar will introduce NStar, its funds and programmes and feature a case study of a young Sunderland company that has successfully raised finance to accelerate its growth. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Stephen Warren at NStar on 0191 211 2300 or email Stephen.warren@nstarfinance.com.
