Breast Cancer Care Charity Ball Extravaganza
Local business woman Donna-Marie Caldwell of L’amour Bridal has set herself the daunting challenge of raising £5,000 for Breast Cancer after her heart was touched by friends and customers who contracted this awful condition. L’amour Bridal will be hosting a charity ball to raise money for Breast Cancer Care at the Centre for Life in Newcastle on 26 October 2007 (in connection with One Voice Productions).
Donna said: “I have been truly moved by all the offers of help, support and prizes for the ball. Unfortunately almost everyone knows someone affected in some way by this condition and is close the hearts of many people in the North East. One random act of kindness has spread and the ball will be attended by some of the most prestigious business and individuals from around the area, it is going to be so exciting!”
As part of the evening’s entertainment, singer Natalie Dean will be performing, there will be an auction and raffle and a Wow Mulitmedia dancing and laser show. Tickets cost only £49.50 per person, with tables of 10 preferably but single tickets can be purchased. This includes Martini Cocktail on arrival, a mouth watering three course meal and coffee and mints.
Abigail Batchelor, Area Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care North & Midlands, said: “We are really grateful to Donna and her staff at L’amour Bridal for organising this event in aid of Breast Cancer Care. All the funds raised will go towards ensuring that Breast Cancer Care can continue to offer vital practical and emotional support to women and men with breast cancer, their families and friends.”
Tickets for the event are still available. To find out more, contact Donna on 0191 4551313 or email lamourenquiry@aol.com.
