BizFizz team takes to Wansbeck streets
Two new coaches have been appointed to offer free, confidential business support and advice to residents in Wansbeck. Jan Grieveson and Graeme Trotter work for BizFizz - an organisation that was jointly developed by nef (the new economics foundation) and The Civic Trust.
Supported by funding from Go Wansbeck - Wansbeck’s government-funded Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) programme - the coaches have been employed to promote enterprise within the district. They aim to forge relationships with people living in the area who have an idea, a skill, hobby or interest that could be turned into a business venture.
Keith Raine, Go Wansbeck programme manager, said: “We are delighted to have the BizFizz coaches on board. Jan and Graeme are really looking forward to being out and about in the heart of the community, meeting with residents and advising them about their business ideas.”
Jan Grieveson, BizFizz coach, said: “BizFizz is a totally different way of working - it has no rules, no boundaries. We don’t keep normal office hours - instead we are willing to meet with people on their own terms at a time and place that suits them.”
The coaches would like to hear from anyone wanting to explore a business idea, start a new business or grow or improve an existing business. If you are in this situation, or you know anyone else who is, contact Jan on 07967 200268 or Graeme on 07815 955 278.
