Stokesley daredevils brave dizzy heights
A team of Tees Valley computer experts will be scaling the heights of Middlesbrough’s Transporter Bridge this weekend to raise funds for Teesside Hospice. Staff from MC Ware in Stokesley are taking part in the Teesside Hospice Bungee Jump on Sunday 24 February.
The Transporter Bridge is the only Bridge Bungee site in the UK. The team taking part in the jump will climb the two hundred and ten steps above the River Tees and then jump one hundred and seventy feet to raise money for Teesside Hospice in Middlesbrough.
The MC Ware team, none of whom have ever taken part in a bungee jump before, hopes to raise over six hundred pounds for the hospice.
Jonathan Wheatley, managing director of MC Ware, said: “I’m not sure exactly how we came to decide that the bungee jump was a good idea - especially as a large chunk of the team is taking part! I’m sure it will be an adrenalin-filled experience but the main aim is to raise lots of money for Teesside Hospice which is such a worthwhile cause.”
