Big Weekend for Durham Business School
North East business professionals are being invited to boost their knowledge and contacts at Durham Business School’s Big Weekend event this spring.
The School’s Alumni Association, Agora, is hosting the Big Weekend Alumni Reunion and Business Conference 2008, which will provide delegates with an educational programme aimed at expanding their knowledge offering tips to get ahead of competitors.
Activities include a series of workshops led by successful entrepreneurs and leading academics, and one-to-one networking opportunities with managers and professionals from across the region. Technology advisors will be on hand to exlpain how current technology affects business strategy, management and leadership.
Patrick Dodd, Alumni Relations Manager for Durham Business School, said: “I think the Big Weekend 2008 will be a great opportunity for businesses across the region to come together and network. We want to encourage and support delegates in establishing successful working relationships, which will stay in place long term and provide efficient ways of working for the future.
“The event combines a mixture of different teaching strategies which will really challenge and inspire the business community. It’s a fantastic chance for people to learn new skills and encourage business development.”
The Business School’s Alumni Spring Ball black tie event will take place on the Saturday evening, with the weekend culminating in a farewell brunch on the Sunday.
