NE firms share the email marketing dream
Members of the North East branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) joined forces with the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) last week to delve into the mysteries of email marketing.
Joanna Berry, chairman of the North East Branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) said: “This is the first joint event we have held with the NECC and judging by the fantastic response we have had, I’m sure our programme of opening our events and working with the wider business community is going to be very successful.
“Over the past decade email marketing has developed into one of the most effective communication channels available to businesses. However, we were aware that many business people were unsure of how to get to grips with this phenomenon.”
The event was held at the Sandyford Building, Newcastle College’s new employer training facility. Speakers from Sunderland-based Communicator Corporation, lead by James Bunting, Head of Client Services, showed the audience of over 100 large and small businesses how best to employ email for their marketing campaigns.
Joanna Berry said: “We were delighted to welcome James and his team to bring email marketing into focus for our members and the members of the North East Chamber of Commerce. We were really excited to be able to use the Newcastle College’s fantastic new Sandyford Building for the first time.”
