Market supports local talent
Having recently celebrated its 272nd birthday, Newcastle’s Quayside Sunday Market is continuing its drive to support and showcase local producers and entertainers.
Stephen Patterson, commercial manager at City Centre Partnership, said: “We’ve been working hard tobring this much-loved icon back to life. “It’s now a vibrant and varied showcase for quality locally produced goods. In addition to the eclectic mix of stalls we were also keen to bring back the entertainment side to the market.
“Each week we’re looking at different entertainers, from up and coming to established bands through to fire-eaters and escapologists. This week we’re delighted to have Random Mike, who will be doing both fire twirling and stilt walking.“We believe that this, plus the great range of stalls, plus the Quayside’s fabulous natural setting will prove to be a truly great dayout.”
The Quayside Sunday Market is on every Sunday from 9.30 until 2.30 on Newcastle Quayside. For further information on the market or to enquire about being involved contact City Centre Partnership on 0191 277 1924.
