Third of workers 'want to leave'
More than four in 10 employees are considering packing in their job in the next 12 months, with a lack of motivation and unreasonable workloads the main reasons.
A survey by Investors in People found that half of staff said they had not received any support beyond their original induction and a quarter said they felt they did not receive the support they required from managers.
Simon Jones, chief executive at Investors in People, said: “This research reveals a worrying picture, not only because such a significant proportion of UK employees are de-motivated, but because it suggests that valuable employees may be heading for the door.”
The survey found that those most likely to be looking elsewhere were people with between one and two years’ service.
