North East firms to â??enter the dragon'
North East firms are being offered the chance to “enter the dragon” and find out about opportunities to do business in Hong Kong and China at a special event organised as part of International Business Month. The “Opportunities in China and Hong Kong” event will be held at Beamish Hall on 25 June, when experts will be on hand to offer an insight into these markets.
Zhengming Yang, UK Trade & Investment’s China Business DevelopmentManager, said: “While Hong Kong and China are adjacent geographically, they differ significantly in the way they do business due to their different cultural backgrounds and socio-economic factors.
“This event is an ideal opportunity to find out about the two markets, the opportunities they offer in a wide range of sectors - from the aerospace and automotive sectors to financial services and water industry - and the support available to help companies succeed.”
The event will include a series of presentations with speakers such as Vince Cunningham of the China Britain Business Council, Martin Evans of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Sir Charles Denny, Associate Director of HSBC Global Markets.
The event is one of a series of market and sector seminars organised by UK Trade & Investment as part of International Business Month, which runs throughout June.
