Art college offers North East production training
Cleveland College of Art & Design (CCAD) in association with the Production Guild of Great Britain and Northern Film & Media are running ‘Momentum’, a 10 month industry training and mentoring scheme.
The free training course is open to producers in the North East working in the medium of film or television with a minimum of one year’s professional experience.
The industry-led scheme will include a series of 5 seminars covering areas such as The Role of a Producer/Produce a Location Shoot, Monitoring and Control of the Production Process and Distribution & Exhibition. In addition to the seminars, there will be a mentoring scheme led by successful producers operating both nationally and internationally, visits to Production Companies in the South East and a final Networking Event.
Melanie Shee, Business Development Manager at CCAD said: “This is an exciting new partnership between Cleveland College of Art & Design, the Production Guild and is, as far as I am aware, unique to the region. The Production Guild will bring with them a unique insight into the industry, with producers working at the top of their industry which will give those in the region a new competitive edge needed to succeed.”
If you are a producer operating from the North East but are having difficulty in developing your business go to http://www.ccad.ac.uk/Momentum.aspx to find out more.
